The Daily Question is an almost daily quick question to keep in mind and consider during the day. When you are presented a question of deep importance, you use your brain in a different way, a more critical way. When we develop critical thinking we become a more independent, knowledgeable, and diverse person. To start to develop some of these skills, read the Daily Question and keep them in mind.
Last night I went out and saw the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still. Yes, I know it was a disappointment, but that is not what I am talking about. Unlike some movies in a similar genre, this movie did not pose many questions to consider later. That, and never really explain anything, there was not much to take out of the theater. However, the one question that was brought up was: Can the human race change and evolve in time to save earth? Interesting, of course the movie answered this question as yes. Whether this be right or wrong, I cannot say, but I think the question goes to a much deeper level in how the human species functions. if we are to save both our race and the earth then we must change. We do not know how long we have, it may be a few years, a few generations, or hundreds, thousands of years. In the end, we must change. This is something that must be embraced, can we change, when will we need to change, how drastically will we have to change, and do we have time to change. These questions and more are all imminent to the further evolution of the human race, for I fear without a drastic change we will lose much of what we know to love.
So that is the question of the day. Is it capable for humans to change and evolve in time to save the species?
