I will ask you the question, “What is your opinion on opinions?” If this were some interactive video enabled site, I would have you answer, but as is I will assume some of your replies. When I ask, “What is your opinion on opinions,” I am really asking do you to label opinions either positive or negative. This is rather vague, I know, but if you had to do this what would you say? Personally I would initial place opinions in the negative category. They are not hard facts, they are simply a perspective. I hold this consideration true to this day, and I will show you why a little later.

How the Computer has affected the Human Mind
Welcome to the new era of the human mind. This era is defined by the presence of the computer and other forces of synthetic nature created by the human species. We define this technology by the development of tools that effect the way we think about science, philosophy, mathematics, and our own presence in the multiverse - I would even add that the concept of multiverse is a product of modern technologies influences. With this thought in mind we can seek the understanding of how this has happened in both modern and old historical knowledge.
Are Humans at the Top of the Food Chain
Imagine the mountain lion - the large, aggressive beast who feasts on flesh. Picture the bulging muscles exposed by the prodigious biceps, the talons of a killer who is eager to dislodge your human corpse until it’s only recognizable to the vultures. Keep this provocative image in mind while your thoughts change to the human.
Now image the human. Recently there was a discussion about what it means to be human in more of a mind form, but now think of the human being as a body and action. Picture our pale flesh that is so easy to break, our tall thin body covered in tiny hair follicles. Think of a boxing match, two humans of equal place in the universe fighting until the conscious is in disillusion. Remember the horrid times of mass extermination throughout history and some still in remembrance. Now remind yourself of what it takes to kill a human, a tool. That tool can be you hand, or any other physical part of your body, but what is it that kills almost all fellow humans? An external tool created by humans themselves. The gun is a good example. It is made to kill and protect; it was made by mankind; and it is used to kill mankind. It is an object whose killing force is unparalleled to any other object in its class. This object is not the human being, it is a human creation and is usually in human control, but it is not a human thing.
You Will Never be Truly Happy
The title of this post, “You Will Never Be Truly Happy,” is somewhat of an overstatement. You, at a conscious level, will be happy on an average, but you, at a subconscious level, will never be truly happy. Obviously, this is the part of the mind that I want to discus because of the provocative subject.
In the past I have talked about why you do activities - because they bring you a form of enjoyment. Everything you do is to put your mind at a new state of ease. Sometimes, of course, the end result may be a burden to the conscious. Still, your subconscious is relieved because the action that was desired was completed or at least attempted. However, neither the conscious nor the subconscious will ever be content full time. This is why you do other actions, such as go on vacation, have a drink, and even do tedious work. All of these actions have an effect on your mental place in society.
This is why you continue to differ your routine. If you were content with your place, why would you move? The argument you are probably making as you read this is: yes, but I react to those who affect my life. This is true. Your life is affected by the people who surround you, but are you required to change your path of travel to accommodate them? Short answer: no. You may feel in your conscious that you must react to your surroundings, but in truth we could live as a hermit on a forgotten island. Even if people threaten your life to react a certain way, you could, if desired, allow them to take your life. Depending on your beliefs this might be a form of finding peace. If you choose to save your life and react in the desired way you could say you are reacting to create happiness in your subconscious. It is your belief that life is better than death and to be happy you must survive. Don’t think that I am trying to say you should take death before survival; I am only making this fact aware to your conscious.
Consequently, you should now understand that all of your actions are derived from the desire to be happy. Back to my initial statement: you will never be truly happy. We understand that all actions come from the desire to be happy, so what would we do if we were truly happy? Nothing. Well, nothing different from our daily activity. If what we were already doing made us perfectly happy, then there would be no need to do different. Of course, the debate in this is: the human mind would become idle if in a continuum of events. It is my belief that the conscious mind can be “bored”, but the subconscious can not. The subconscious in this case is only aware of happiness and the alter. Boredom would be in the latter thus making the subconscious not happy.
It is a hard concept to grasp: the understanding that you will never be happy on the subconscious level. It is just a matter of being aware that the actions that are not a part of the normal routine are only done to achieve a better state of happiness. If you find yourself totally happy on the conscious level and subsequently happy and idle on the subconscious level, then you are truly happy. We also must be aware that it is not in human nature to be happy. If we were truly happy, then there would be no advancement of any kind, in areas such as, science, politics, culture, and other possible human advancements.
This is simply a fact of life of which we all must be aware in order to achieve total self-awareness. It is not something that should be depressing, but only a mere truth that is in the subconscious. If you seek to achieve the maximum amount of happiness possible, then being aware of the limits to your own happiness may bring your conscious to a more relaxed state. Whatever your opinion of the subject, I only recommend being aware and realizing the impossibility that we will ever achieve all around happiness in both conscious and subconscious.
